Please note that following our ‘off-schedule’ gig last week, featuring the amazing Matthew Kilner, Richard Glassby and Pete Lowit, we will be taking a short summer break until Thursday, 23rd July, when we will be featuring another outstanding lineup which you will not want to miss:
Mike Mackenzie – Saxophone
Ronnie Shaw – Piano
Roger Niven – Guitar
Finlay Grant – Drums
Peter Lowit – Double bass
Meantime, it would be unforgivable not to mention what a great performance we had from the incredible trio of Matthew Kilner, Richard Glassby, and Peter Lowit, playing a wide variety of jazz classics including compositions by Charles Mingus and Sonny Rollins, (recently passed away). The band even managed to fit in a couple of original compositions by Matthew and Richard from their own albums. What a fantastic way to kick off the summer holidays at Moray Jazz Club!
Also to those that were in the audience, a big thank you to you for your enthusiastic appreciation. For those not in attendance last night, here is a little taste of what you missed…!
